With game platforms being enormously popular in North America and Europe, PlayStation 4 is being supported with major content. In Japan, on the other hand, PlayStation 4′s uprush isn’t very good. Released in February instead of the year-end shopping season, the system sold 320,000 units at launch, which is by no means a bad number. However, even now total sales are at 640,000, which cannot be compared to the sales momentum from North America and Europe. Of course, as a characteristic of the Japanese market, mobile games are by far the leading trade, “but I heard from a major game maker that they’re going to have a big announcement around the time of the Tokyo Game Show that should help the system’s growth.”
