Noticia en ingles mas completaActivison has just announced a Call of Duty Convention named XP which commences this September.
Just as Blizzard Entertainment has Blizzcon for its game fans, Activision Blizzard is now creating Call of Duty XP 2011, a two-day convention for fans of the Call of Duty series.
Call of Duty XP » will run on September 2-3 2011 and will be held in a 12 Acre Compound in Los Angeles. Tickets cost $150 with all the ticket money going to the Call of Duty Endowment charity, which help war veterans readjust to civilian life again. There are 6000 tickets up for grabs and they go on sale July 19th. You can purchase tickets wherever you live in the world but you have to be over 18 to attend.
Perhaps the most interesting news to come out of this announcement is that a Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer reveal will happen at the event. As well as playing multiplayer and Special Ops two months before the game releases, you will have a chance to win prizes, see everything that Call of Duty Elite has to offer, play paintball on a life sized replica of a Modern Warfare 2 map and so much more!
At the event you will be able to;
Get hands on with Modern Warfare 3 at the Multiplayer Reveal
See all the features in Call of Duty: Elite
Partake in a paintball match on a life sized replica of Scrapyard from Modern Warfare 2
Run a life size version of "The Pit" from Modern Warfare 2
Compete in Tournaments to win prizes
Take part in discussion panels and Q&A with Call of Duty developers
Visit the onsite Call of Duty armory and museum
See some AAA Entertainment
More Attractions are still to be announced
As Activision has signed Microsoft as the Exclusive Console Partner for the event, it will be streamed LIVE on Xbox Live as well as Facebook and YouTube. This means that even if you don't attend, you can still get great coverage on your console or PC!
This event is a stroke of Marketing genius by Activision as it will be sure to get fans even more hyped about Modern Warfare 3, which drops in November.
We apologize for the two weeks that have gone by with no new article on Modern Warfare 24/7, but that's mostly due to there being no news on the game along with the marketing and release of the Annihilation pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops. With Infinity Ward currently preparing a Special Ops gameplay video, more news on Call of Duty XP arriving soon and the Call of Duty Elite beta deploying next month, we will hopefully have more articles coming in thick and fast! But for now, check out a Machinima interview with Activision's Eric Hirshberg below or watch it here ».
