[TF2] Actualización secreta 19/6/12

A día de hoy, una nueva actualización secreta para Team Fortress 2 ha sido publicada. La actualización se descargará de forma automática al iniciar la plataforma Steam o, en su defecto, al reiniciarla si ya estaba activada.

Los cambios se recogen a continuación:

Team Fortress 2

Añadido el Carpín, la Pelusa de Bolsillo, el Queso de Bola, la Piel de Plátano, el Tablón de la Puerta del Granero, el Diario Secreto y el Condensador Dañado; elementos cargados de misterio y relacionados en cierta forma con Meet the Pyro y una próxima "Gran Actualización" de TF2.
Eliminada la región de equipamiento csrk y añadidas las regiones csrk_left y csrk_right.
Actualizados los archivos de traducción.

Una curiosidad, en el Condensador Dañado aparece una inscripción que reza "6.22" o dicho de otra forma 22/6.

Que cada cual saque sus propias conclusiones...

6.22 es la última versión de MS-DOS que se distribuyó por separado.

Meet the Pyro.

When equipping the "Eliminating The Impossible" set, the combined phrases of the items forms the following phrase:

"Think of the deeds of hellish cruelty, the hidden wickedness which may go on, year in, year out, in such places, and none the wiser."

This comes from the "[1] The Adventure of the Copper Beeches" Sherlock Holmes short story. Among some of the more notable details of the short story with parallels to Team Fortress:

The character Violet Hunter accepts a job as a governess; the color violet is obtained by mixing the colors blue and red, and is the color worn by [2] the Administrator.

The character Jephro Rucastle survives as an invalid toward the end of the story, kept alive by his second wife; this mirrors [3] Blutarch and Redmond Mann being kept alive by their [4] life-extending machines.

The story is set in 1890, around the same time [5] Blutarch Mann's assistant introduced him to Radigan Conagher to build the life-extending machine.

Violet was looking after a six-year old child with tendencies of cruelty toward animals; the aforementioned phrase at the top of this post could easily describe the child, and wouldn't be unlike the psychotic tendencies of the Pyro, whose ties to reality are already tenuous at best (and whom the update possibly revolves around).
