Asus ROG cierra un patrocinio con los tricampeones del mundo:
South Korean esports juggernaut SK telecom T1 has dominated the League of Legends scene for years. The reigning World Champions have a collection of impressive victories to their name, and now they’re even better-equipped to defeat the competition. We’re proud to announce our sponsorship of the team, which will be using ROG gaming desktops, laptops, monitors, motherboards, and routers in their quest for another world title.
Like the Republic of Gamers, SK telecom T1 has been in the game for more than a decade. They started with Starcraft way back in 2004, when esports was a mere glimmer of what it is today. ROG is a natural fit for a team with such deep history.
SK telecom T1 assembled its first LoL roster in late 2012, and they’ve been on a tear ever since. In addition to winning three World Championship titles—in 2013, 2015, and 2016—the team tasted victory in Intel Extreme Masters Season X, the 2016 Mid-Season Invitational, and multiple Champions Korea competitions, including the latest spring playoffs. They’re clearly in top form this year.
The right hardware is crucial for maintaining a competitive edge at the highest level of competition, so the team will use a full array of ROG hardware in pursuit of their fourth World Championship title. We’re outfitting them with G11 gaming desktops and ROG Strix GL702 gaming laptops. They’ll also use ROG gaming monitors, motherboards, and routers.
Commenting on the exciting new partnership, ROG Global Marketing Director Derek Yu said: “We’re very excited to have ROG join forces with SK telecom T1, the most dominating team the eSports arena has ever seen. We’ll equip our awesome gaming champions the latest ROG products so that they will enjoy the highest levels of performance, quality and stability — the perfect choice for eSports gaming. These cutting-edge ROG products, together with the talented members of the SK telecom T1, are a winning combination!"
We’re all excited to welcome SK telecom T1 into the Republic of Gamers. They join a growing stable of ROG-sponsored esports franchises that also includes NRG eSports, Echo Fox, Ninjas in Pyjamas, PSG eSports, and DreamHack Masters.
