G2 Hel será uno de los 16 equipos que participarán en el Northern Lol Championship Last Chance Qualifier, que comienza hoy y terminará el 12 de febrero. Tras posicionarse como el mejor equipo femenino en EU, G2 Hel competirá contra equipos masculinos/mixtos por primera vez.

The teams participating in the NLC Last Chance Qualifier were decided through applications. G2 Hel’s opponents include several teams from the most recent NLC Division 3 split, as well as the B’ team of NLC Division 1 org Nord Esports.
In a recent interview, G2 Hel’s head coach Quaye talked about how they are emulating the schedules of professional European Regional Leagues teams, including scrimming a minimum of 4 times a week. While G2 Hel’s opponents in this competition will be only semi-pro and amateur rather than professional, it’s still a great opportunity to see how well Europe’s top female team will perform outside of the female competitive scene.
Format:The NLC Last Chance Qualifier will start with a 5-round Swiss stage. The first 3 rounds will be Best of 1; the last 2 rounds will be Best of 3. The 8 teams that get at least 3 wins will proceed to a Best of 5 single elimination bracket. The winner will qualify to the NLC Division 2, while a currently unannounced number of teams will qualify to the NLC Division 3. The matches on all days start at 19:00 Central European Time.
Residency rules require only 2 Locally Trained Representatives for a region’s Top 2 divisions, but 3 LTRs for lower divisions. Therefore, it is unknown if G2 Hel will be able to participate in the NLC Division 3 if they qualify to it, as they appear to only have 2 LTRs for the NLC: top laner Lizia and bot laner Caltys, both from Sweden.
