On the 8th of November, through their official Weibo page, Topsports Gaming announced that they will not be renewing Marin's contract. "After a brief evaluation with the team, we decided not to renew his contract," they said.
Topsports Gaming also mentioned in their announcement, "as the oldest member of the team, Marin did well by becoming the pivot of the team. We are thankful for everything; we'll remember him. We truly wish for his success in a new team that he joins."
Marin played for Afreeca Freecs from 2016 to 2017 before departing to China to join LPL's Topsports Gaming. Although Marin had displayed a great level of skills during his debut game in the LPL, he was eventually outshined by the young LPL talents at the time and saw no play since June. Marin aided Topsports Gaming as a player-coach since then.
