Lo de ROX huele cada vez mas a que o se van todos, o al menos una buena parte:
ROX Tigers coach: “I’m sure many fans are curious as to what will happen (with our team), but I hope that they will wait and look at it in a positive light.”
The head coach for the ROX Tigers Jeong “NoFe” No-Chul asked for fans for patience regarding the team’s roster going forward.
After ROX won the KeSPA Cup on Saturday by defeating Kongdoo Monster 3-1, NoFe made a statement regarding the future of the team and its activities since the League of Legends World Championship in North America during the post-match press conference, writes Daily eSports’ Nam Yun-sung.
“The team had great rest after dropping in the semifinals of worlds, and because they had to prepare for the KeSPA Cup right after, there wasn’t any time to talk about their potential re-signing with the team,” he said. “Because the end of November is when their contracts come up, I understand that it is the plan of the team to talk with the players about re-signing in a positive direction.”
He also asked the fans to take any stories of the team with a grain of salt, and hoped that the fans would wait patiently until news comes forth.
“Because it is a time when players still have to make up their minds about re-signing, inevitably there will be many stories that will come out,” he said. “I’m sure many fans are curious as to what will happen, but I hope that they will wait and look at it in a positive light.”
This statement comes after an ESPN report during worlds that the ROX Tigers will disband. The team (predictably) issued a denial, and the community has been abuzz about the future of the Tigers ever since. Players of the Tigers have also made public statements, most recently from AD Carry Kim “PraY” Jong-in in a video interview with Daily eSports, published Saturday, in which he claimed the story to be “ridiculous.”
