Today we announced that StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty will not be ready for release by the end of 2009. Over the past couple of weeks, it has become clear that it will take longer than expected to prepare the new Battle.net for the launch of the game. The upgraded Battle.net is an integral part of the StarCraft II experience and will be an essential part of all of our games moving forward. This extra development time will be critical to help us realize our vision for the service.

Our mission is to develop games that deliver an epic entertainment experience. As part of that commitment, we will always take as much time as needed to ensure that our games and services meet the expectations of our players and the standard for quality that we set for ourselves as developers. As we work to make Battle.net the premier online gaming destination, we’ll also continue to polish and refine StarCraft II, and we look forward to delivering a real-time strategy gaming experience worthy of the series’ legacy in the first half of 2010.

Resumen: Básicamente el problema del retraso se debe por culpa del nuevo Battle.net 2.0, ségun Blizzard les esta llevando más tiempo de lo esperado re-diseñar el nuevo Battle.net, así que habrá que esperarse a principios del nuevo año.

StarCraft 2 se retrasa = Nada nuevo bajo el sol.

Estos de Blizzard,parece que la gente no aprendemos o no recordamos todo lo que paso con Warcraft 3 (el cual en su dia estaba anunciado para 2 años despues que el Warcraft 2) y la de cantidad de retrasos que tuvo... Siempre hacen lo mismo, y con Diablo 3 pasara igual...anda que Diablo 2 no tuvo retrasos tambien..

Blizzard hara unos juegos que estan de vicio, muy mimados, muy cuidados y que en general te van a entretener aunque el genero no te entusiasme demasiado...ahora para las fechas no dan ni una..

no creo que se pueda hablar de retraso cuando blizzard siempre ha dicho que sus juegos saldran cuando esten listos ("done when it's done"). Si hubiesen dado fecha y luego la retrasaran si, pero nadie sabia cuando lo iban a lanzar

A mi me parece una mala política la de filtrar video-reports, pantallas y demás para luego ir año por año dando largas. Creo que hastías un poco al público.

#8 por eso saca buenos juegos, pk pulen todos los aspectos a parte que crean hype, tienen pinta de ser bastante concienzudos y hasta que no tengan un producto que les parezca bueno no lo sacan, prefiero eso a casos como el battlefield con EA

¿Y toda la gente que probó la beta en la Euskal?
Quiero decir, funcionar funcionaba el juego, ¿o no?
Vale que quieran mimarlo y sacarlo "perfecto" (para que a las dos semanas saquen un parche de doscientos megas, que ya nos lo conocemos), pero tanto como tardar un año... me parece exagerado.
