Pues lo que era un secreto a voces, tras el fracaso de CLG con el viaje a Corea y su posterior puesto para relegations, CLG presciende de Montecristo:
Today Counter Logic Gaming announces the departure of Christopher "MonteCristo" Mykles as Coach of its League of Legends team. Both CLG and MonteCristo have come to an agreement that it is in both parties' mutual interests for this change. As CLG's first long term League of Legends coach, MonteCristo has passed on his immense knowledge and passion for competitive League of Legends with the team. The opportunity for the team to have worked with Monte has contributed to some of its most competitive LCS results over this season. Despite concurrently being a full time caster for OGN, MonteCristo has always made great efforts to contribute regardless of the existing difficulties of working remotely.
With the further establishment of League of Legends as the premier competitive eSports title, the demands on teams and staff have evolved to demonstrate the unsustainable nature of the previous coaching arrangement. While MonteCristo has offered to assist the team in LA during its preparations for its upcoming match against Curse Academy, the team has elected to begin this transition immediately with current support staff and new resources.
MonteCristo had this to say concerning his departure.
“For the past year I've served as the coach for CLG, and it's been an honor to work with the team in the thick of the LCS. However, as time went on it became increasingly clear that the organization requires an in-house coach and that I could not fulfill the needs of the players as long as I pursued my work in casting. Since I am choosing my career as an analyst over a full-time position with CLG in 2015, I feel that it is necessary to step back from my role as coach immediately. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with Counter Logic Gaming and wish the team, the staff, and George the best of luck in the future.”
We sincerely thank MonteCristo for all of his efforts as coach during the past year and hope our fans will continue to support him in his endeavors as a caster for OGN.
