Lucas “Santorin” Tao Kilmer Larsen announced on his twitter that he is leaving NRG eSports, following the team’s relegation to the Challenger Series, confirmed with a 3-0 defeat against Echo Fox on Sunday.
Despite the ninth place finish in the regular season, and the subsequent relegation, Santorin was one of the strongest members of the team, and achieved, according to League of Analytics, respectable stats, such as the highest kill participation for a jungler (77.4%), as well as the third highest damage share for his team, with 17.8%.
The Dane joined NRG on May, alongside top laner Diego “Quas” Ruiz and support Alan “KiWiKiD” Nguyen. He played last season for Team SoloMid in the North American LCS, where he attended the 2015 World Championship, as well as for Ember in the NA Challenger Series and Team HUMA in the EU Challenger Series earlier this year.
It is currently unknown the player’s new destination for the 2017 season.
RIP a uno de los mejores junglas que ha pasado por NA.
