Pues tal y como indica el título de la noticia, así lo ha confirmado Butch Vig. Sin dar demasiadas pistas, tanto Grohl como Vig han mencionado que el nuevo álbum será "distinto" a los demás. Se espera que esté grabado para finales de junio, así que posiblemente durante el verano consigamos tener algún avance o incluso el disco.

Legendary producer Butch Vig recently gave a studio update on his current projects, confirming that the production of the new Foo Fighters record should be done by the end of June.
Chatting with KROQ, Vig also shared a rough time schedule for the new Garbage album, saying, "I'm hoping to finish the Foos by the end of June and probably go back into the studio and finish the Garbage album by Thanksgiving.
"Next year is going to be a big year for Garbage," he added. "It's our 20th anniversary. So, there'll be a big tour and a new album and some other special things that we're working on to sort of celebrate our anniversary."
Getting back to the Foos, Butch pointed out the unprecedented approach previously mentioned several times by frontman Dave Grohl. "We’ve taken an approach that is quite different," he said. "I've never made a record like this. I don't know anyone who has.
"We sort of threw an x-factor into the process that is forcing all of us to be spontaneous as well as really have to be on your a-game. So it's been a challenge and fun," the producer concluded.
