Sobre lo de que haya ganado Jeff Daniels sobre los demás en mejor actor, he encontrado esta opinión en Reddit con la que me identifico 100%:
OK first off let me educate some folks who may not know that emmy awards for acting are based on a specific episode of their TV show and not on a body of work. With that being out of the way let me continue on with what can now be only described as: My opinion:
The only two actors whose specific episode's I've seen have been Cranston's episode and Jeff Daniels episode. I love Breaking Bad, in my opinion it's the best show on TV right now and one of the top 10 shows of all time. Having said that Jeff Daniels nominated episode of newsroom is still better (in my opinion) from Bryan Cranston's nominated episode of Breaking Bad. If the awards were based on an entire season Bryan Cranston probably would have won, but they're not, they're based on an individual's performance during a specific episode. If you look at Jeff Daniels pilot episode of The Newsroom and are not completely blown away by his performance, I don't know what to tell you. Jeff Daniels deserved this emmy nomination (based on the information I have at my fingertips) and while others may have also deserved it, I challenge you to take as objective of an approach as you can (since all art is subjective) and take in his performance in Newsroom and really try to watch his performance without judging him because "your favorite actor didn't win".
