After 4 months of intense matches the final of the ESL Major Series is finally upon us.
Last season so an all German finale as team Alternate came out victorious over their arch rivals mTw.Mindfactory. It could have been the same this year as both teams looked strong in the elimination stages. Alternate have made it to the final after crushing wins over team Verygames and Online Kingdom - who looked like they might cause an upset at one point. mTw on the other hand didn't quite make it, instead joining Alternate in the final will be one of the most improved teams in Europe over the past few months.
The Imperial started last year as another Danish team who had the potential to cause some upsets, yet after a series of great results both online and at LAN they have proven themselves to be one of the best teams in Europe, the latest Cadred top10 ranking shows that their fellow pro's also think the same. They came through after knocking out both Dignitas and last years finalists mTw in the semi's. There is no doubt this team has what it takes to win, but standing between them and the 2,000 Euro first prize are the defending champions. It is certain to be a great match so I wouldn't miss it for the world.
