YO leí hace poco que habían desestimado la idea de la serie, pero en cambio se estaban pegando varias productoras por hacer una o varias películas. Yo personalmente preferiría una trilogía top, antes que una serie.

Parece un tío con la cabeza bien amueblada y con unos principios muy firmes, el problema es que el negocio de Hollywood no funciona así. Ya veremos si consigue las condiciones que busca.
Esto es lo que quiero (y estoy sintiendo como el poder de la cafeína se apodera de mi): Quiero gente con sus propias caras. No un puñado de rostros bonitos de Hollywood. Quiero actores. Quiero personas sólidas. Quiero un Edward Norton, un Danny Kaye. Personas que conozcan el oficio de verdad. Quiero mujeres de diferentes cuerpos, no estas mujeres con rostros hermosos que parecen todas iguales. Necesito gente de color, porque la gente debe darse cuenta de que los Ceáldicos son jodidamente negros. Y no es algo relevante en mis novelas, pero el mundo es muy diverso. La gente de Modeg es morena, parecen brasileños. Eso es lo que quiero. Pero no es la idea que tiene mucha gente de los mundos de fantasía, en parte porque la imagen que tenemos es la que nos dan las series y películas, que están llenas de la gente que puedes encontrar en Hollywood, que suele ser gente blanca, porque es lo que quieren.

Si se curran una buena serie (que hoy en dia es totalmente posible) tienen para varias temporadas y mucho metraje. Es entendible que Patrick quiera que salga bien, es su mundo, el lo ha creado y no tiene otro (en clara alusión a Brandon Sanderson).

I’d listen really hard, because something like that would let us be big-budget while still giving my story room to breathe. It would give people the ability to spend more time in my world. Then Lionsgate got in touch. “About that whole TV-show-and-a-movie thing you mentioned,” they said. “If we’re going to do some sort of big narratively intertwined multi-platform development deal based on your books, wouldn’t it make more sense to do a video game along with the TV show and movies? Because seriously, why wouldn’t we want to do a video game too?” (I’m paraphrasing a little here you understand.)

So we started to negotiate, and that’s where I received my biggest surprise of all.
You see, I never expected a studio would treat me like a human being. But through this whole process, Lionsgate has treated me with amazing respect. I’ve made what to me seem like reasonable requests, and they responded to them… reasonably. Lionsgate Motion Picture Group co-president Erik Feig and creative executives Jeyun Choi Munford and Jessica Switch will oversee the development on the film side.
Executive vp television Chris Selak will spearhead its development for television while the company’s president of interactive ventures & games Peter Levin will shepherd the gaming side.
Con Lionsgate en el ajo huele más a trilogía de películas que a serie ¿no?.
En cualquier caso me ha entrado todo el hype, ahora falta la fecha del tercer libro que tenía entendido que era este mes...

serie y pelicula simultaneamente? pero eso como va a ser hombre, se decidiran por un formato de los dos y luego pues el videojuego de rigor no me aprece mal pero ambas?
yo prefiero pelicula por aqui, no por nada si no porque siendo lionsgate y viendo el tiron de los libros creo que pueden poner un buen presupuesto sobre la mesa (que con los juegos del hambre les esta iendo estupendamente y es sci fi basada en libros asi que los veo apostando fuerte por otra saga de libros) y si algo necesita una pelicula de fantasia/sci fi es muuuuuuuuuucha inversion en construir el mundo, todo lo concerniente al estilo visual y a la ambientacion es importantisimo, que pillen a weta/ilm y no se anden con prisas
con una serie soy realista, no se podria hacer lo mismo que en juego de tronos, y aun asi en juego de tronos tienen cuidado de cuando tirar de cgi y estamos hablando de una serie la ostia de cara, ademas que en esta historia solo seguimos a kvothe, el formato serie no se, veo demasiada lentitud xD
